I put it up on Craigslist and it was gone 22 hours later. I had several calls on it, mostly from people who lived far away - Mount Vernon, Tacoma, Olympia, Darrington.
Tyler drove up from Tacoma, got here at 8:00 pm and handed me cash.
Here's the ad I put up on Craigslist:
83 Subaru GL 4WD Station Wagon - Green.
Twenty five year old Subaru in great shape. I'm the third owner of this car. I rarely drive it these days so it needs to find a new home.
It starts right up and drives very smooth. Easy on the gas too.

Issues (it's a 25 year old car):
• Factory radio does not really work. Very light static at full volume.
• Small dent in left front fender (see photo).
• Small amount of body rust in various locations.
• Cracked windshield (I have a brand new rubber windshield gasket that will be included with the car).
• Intermittent fuel / idle issue.
About the intermittent fuel / idle issue:
Sometimes the engine idles a little too high - usually noticed while stopped at a stop light. Sometimes it idles a little too low and the engine may die if you don't give it a little gas - also usually noticed while stopped at a stop light. The engine will almost always try to die during hard Right hand turns - like turning Right into a parking space (yes, very strange). No problems when turning left. Of course the engine cannot die while the car is in gear and moving forward - the rotation of the wheels keeps the engine spinning. When you depress the clutch or put the car in neutral there is a possibility that the car will die (if it's acting up at the time). Once you get used to it, it's easy to drive though.
Most of the time it idles properly and runs without any problems. Also, it cruises down the freeway very smoothly.
It has been doing this low idle / high idle thing for about the last year. I've recently replaced the carburetor with a different one of the same model but it still does the exact same thing. Must be some sort of vacuum issue or fuel delivery issue. I'm sure someone could fix it if they had time to troubleshoot it. I don't have the time these days.
Location is roughly at I-5 and 164th St SW in NE Lynnwood, Washington. Google Map
